
Beyerskloof Diesel Pinotage 2008
A deep dark red colour. A rich bouquet of black berries, dark cherries, prunes and cedar oak. A complex Pinotage with excellent balance between fruit and oak. The wine that will age well in the bottle for at least 10 – 15 years.

| Climate | Good rains and cold weather occurred during the winter with early spring following. Early summer saw some moderate temperatures with periods of light showers. January was hot with some rainfalls whilst February was cooler with moderate rainfalls. March and April hosted very hot conditions with little rain. | |

| Vinification | 4 days in open fermenters where the cap was punched by hand. Fermentation temperature was between 26 - 28°C. After malolactic fermentation in stainless steel the wine is matured in 100% first French oak barrels for 19 months. After maturation only 20 barrels are selected for this wine. |
